A section of North 8th Street in Manitowoc is scheduled to be closed for a short time next week.
According to Greg Minikel, the Engineering Division Manager, the section of North 8th Street between Waldo Boulevard and School Street, which is north of Waldo, will be closed off on Monday (August 22nd).
Crews will be replacing a lead water service pipe, work which should be completed by the end of the work day.
A detour will be set up to route traffic around the closure. Minikel explained that “Since N. 8th St. is a truck route, the detour will be on Reed Ave. eastbound to Memorial Drive and then southbound on Memorial Drive to Waldo Blvd.”
