A Cumberland man has been sentenced to five years in prison for causing a fatal Barron County crash two years ago while he was impaired.
29-year-old Cody Hase was charged with homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle.
Prosecutors say Hase was under the influence of a controlled substance when he tried to pass a car in a no-passing zone in the Town of Stanfold.
The driver of an oncoming van was killed in the head-on crash that happened on September 30th, 2020.
