A woman is facing charges after she caused a commotion at a Manitowoc Kwik Trip.
Officers were dispatched to the convenience store located on North 8th Street just after 2:00 p.m. yesterday (August 15th) after dispatch received a call reporting a woman screaming at the clerk.
Dispatch also told the officers that they could barely hear the caller due to how loud the woman was screaming in the background.
The 40-year-old woman refused to tell the officers her name and kept trying to walk away, so she was placed in handcuffs.
The clerk told the officers that the woman had come inside, and immediately began swiping her card, asking why it wasn’t working, despite the fact she wasn’t trying to buy anything.
She then reportedly opened a pack of gum and began chewing it.
The gum was found sticking to her pants as she was sitting in the squad car.
The woman is facing charges of Disorderly Conduct, and Felony Bail Jumping.
It is not clear if alcohol or drugs were involved.
