The Boys and Girls Club of Manitowoc County is slated to receive a grant from the AT&T Foundation.
The $10,000 grant will go toward supporting the Boys and Girls Club’s work to help local youth affected by the digital divide.
A representative from AT&T will be on hand at the Club, located at 3651 Dewey Street in Manitowoc, tomorrow (August 17th) at 10:30 a.m. for a check presentation ceremony.
The AT&T Foundation grant will support the Club’s new Project Learn program, which provides computer and digital literacy resources and academic programs for youth.
Millions of students across the U.S. are affected by the digital divide and do not have reliable internet or a computer at home to complete their homework.
Youth served by the Boys & Girls Club of Manitowoc County are no exception.
The Club’s Project Learn program will allow youth in need to have access to devices, high-speed internet, and computer software programs to help them build new academic skills and complete homework during this next school year.
