
There are two meetings scheduled for today in the City of Manitowoc.
First up is the Committee of the Whole, which will gather in the Council Chambers at 5:30 p.m.
They will be discussing several litigation-related items in both open and closed sessions.
Then at 6:30 p.m., the Common Councill will take over the Council Chambers.
They will start with the administration of the Oath of Office and badge pinning ceremonies for two new police officers, and four new members of the Fire Department.
Mayor Justin Nickels will also appoint new members to the Crime Prevention Committee and Transit Commission.
There will also be budget discussions and the Council is expected to approve a previously requested expansion of the Manitowoc Chiefs’ football field.
