An inmate in the Brown County Jail is now in even more legal trouble.
35-year-old Luis Dejesus-Gonzalez is facing a charge of Conspiracy to Commit 1st Degree Intentional Homicide with a Domestic Abuse enhancer after he allegedly tried to hire someone to kill his girlfriend.
According to police reports, Dejesus-Gonzalez was upset that the unnamed woman had not posted his bond and wanted to get her arrested “so she knew how it felt”.
A few weeks later, he learned that a new man was living with his girlfriend, which is when he offered $8,000, a Cadillac truck, and a half-kilo of cocaine to a cellmate to arrange for her to be killed.
The cellmate instead reported the threat and even provided a recording of Dejesus-Gonzalez planning it out.
When confronted about the plan, Dejesus-Gonzalez denied it and asked for a lawyer.
