The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office is searching for someone that is being referred to by some as a “chainsaw vandal”.
The perpetrator cut down trees and stop signs on the north side of the city.
This happened twice over a recent three day stretch on properties near Lakeshore Drive and Playbird Road.
The homeowner had called police at around 2:30 yesterday morning (August 10th) to report being awoken by the sound of a chainsaw.
When they went outside, the victim saw the suspect fleeing the scene.
