Now, Colten Treu’s attorneys are asking the Wisconsin Supreme Court to hear Treu’s appeal.
Treu is serving a 54-year prison term for killing the Chippewa Falls Girl Scout leader and three scouts in 2018.
He was accused of being high after huffing aerosol fumes just before the crash near Lake Hallie.
Treu’s side claims his previous attorneys failed to accurately explain the impact of his guilty and no-contest pleas.
