The Department of Veteran Affairs has announced a Suicide Prevention Forum in Green Bay.
The forum will be held tomorrow (August 11th) from 10:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center.
The forum is being called “Combating Veteran Suicide,” and will feature experts in the field of suicide prevention and mental health.
This Combating Veteran Suicide forum focuses specifically on providing community members, social workers, mental health providers, law enforcement, and veteran advocates with trainings and tools to help identify when a veteran needs assistance.
Sessions for this forum have been designed to help attendees understand the important needs of tribal members within the veteran community.
The event is free to attend, and any person or organization interested who has not pre-registered in advance can show up and register starting at 9:00 a.m. the morning of the forum at the convention center.
