The man found guilty in a triple fatal crash in Green Bay in 2020 will have to wait to see what his sentence will be.
Abdi Ahmed was set to be sentenced yesterday (August 8th) on three counts of Second Degree Reckless Homicide, but his team asked for a delay to complete an independent pre-sentence report.
This is expected to take upwards of a month and a half.
The prosecution and the victim’s families all protested, but the judge allowed it, saying this would be the only delay.
Ahmed was arrested after he drove at speeds of around 100 MPH on Lombardi Avenue before crashing into a vehicle, killing 28-year-old Jesse Saldana, Sonia Gonzalez Guillen, and 57-year-old Sonia V. Gonzalez.
He could spend upwards of 45 years in prison.
