
A Manitowoc woman is facing charges after she allegedly stole tens of thousands of dollars from her employer in Allouez.
37-year-old Belinda Gehl is facing charges of Theft in a Business Setting Between $10,000 and $100,000, Unauthorized Use of an Entity’s Identifying Information or Documents, and four counts of Misappropriation of Personal Identifying Information or Documents.
According to police reports, Gehl worked as the coordinator at a group home in Allouez but resigned from her position in March of 2020.
Before she left, Gehl allegedly submitted handwritten receipts for items bought with the company credit card, but they were not itemized.
It was learned that Gehl had over $20,000 worth of items purchased from Amazon shipped to her home, all bought with company money.
