The Shoreland Baseball League has announced its season award winners and members of the All-Shoreland League team as chosen by managers.
The Manitowoc Bandits dominate the special awards list.
Luke Mandich was voted MVP and Pitcher of the Year, Earl Vorpagel is the Batting Champion and Brandon Black was selected Rookie of the Year.
Manitowoc has three players on the All Shoreland League unit: Luke Mandich, Outfielder Earl Vorpagel, and Second Baseman Ben Coons.
The Denmark Devilbears are represented by Shortstop Brennan Miller and Outfielder Bryce Urbanek.
Two members of the Algoma ‘Guins made the list: Outfielder Jacob Kleeman and DH Austen Dart. Manager of the Year is Nathan Yagodinsky of the Casco A’s.
The Bandits’ Brandon Black earned Honorable Mention.
Meanwhile, the Shoreland League Championship Series between Manitowoc and Ashwaubenon begins tomorrow night (August 10th) with Game 1 of a best-of-3 in Green Bay.
