The slumping Brewers bullpen was victimized again in Sunday’s 4-2 loss to Cincinnati.
It was Milwaukee’s sixth loss in the last seven games.
Closer Devin Williams absorbed the defeat by giving up two runs in the top of the 10th – but neither was earned due to an error by third baseman Mike Brosseau.
The Brewers scored on solo homers by Willy Adames and Keston Hiura but they still fell two games behind the Cardinals in the Central Division standings.
Milwaukee takes Monday off, then tries to rediscover the winning touch at home against Tampa Bay.
