It will be Manitowoc and Ashwaubenon locking horns for the second straight year in a best-of-three game championship series to determine the 2022 Shoreland League winner.
The 3-time defending champion Bandits pulled away late to defeat the visiting Denmark Devilbears 16-8 Friday night at Municipal Field to win both games in their semifinal series.
Ashwaubenon also beat the Casco A’s in two games to advance to the finals. Carter Stebane led the Manitowoc offense by going 5-6 with a double and 3 RBI, and starting pitcher Jake Jeanquart helped his own cause with an early 2-run homer and 5 RBI.
Ben Coons earned the win in relief.
Manager Chris Cisler says Game 1 of the title series is scheduled for Ashwaubenon on Wednesday night, with games Friday and Saturday (if necessary) hosted by Manitowoc.
