For the second game in a row, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and Quad Cities River Bandits each pounded out double digit hits, but this time the Bandits took the win.
The final score in Davenport Iowa was 9-6 in favor of the home team. Rattler starting pitcher Justin Jarvis did not have a great start, as he allowed two hits, two runs, and walked two batters before being pulled with only two outs recorded in the 1st inning.
His reliever Joey Matulovich didn’t fare much better, as he allowed six runs over the next two innings, including two home runs.
The offence tried to recover, with Zavier Warren again having a big night. He went 2-4 and batted in 3 runs, but it just wasn’t enough.
In total, the Rattlers scattered 10 hits, while the Bandits tallied 12 in what was only their 3rd win in their last 10 outings.
The two teams will square off again three more times this weekend.
Tonight and tomorrow’s games are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Modern Woodman Park, while Sunday’s contest will start at 1:00 p.m.
