A 14-year-old boy is in custody while the Sheboygan Police Department searches for two more people believed to be involved in a recent string of vehicle thefts.
While a patrol, an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop at around 2:20 yesterday morning (August 4th) but the vehicle sped off.
The occupants abandoned the vehicle at Evergreen Park, as it turned out the vehicle had been stolen, but the owner was not yet aware.
A 14-year-old boy was arrested, which is when they learned that he and two other juveniles were involved in another vehicle theft the week before.
In both cases, the owners left their keys in the vehicles, which were both outfitted with push-to-start ignition systems.
The Sheboygan Police Department does know who the other two suspects are but have not revealed their names.
They are once again reminding residents to always lock their vehicles, and make sure all keys and valuables are removed.
