family is struggling with questions after the apparent drowning death of a Milwaukee man.
Witnesses say 32-year-old Martez Holmes jumped into the water just off Lakeshore State Park Tuesday.
He had been on a pontoon boat to watch some fireworks with friends. Searchers found his body at about 10:00 a.m the next day.
Holmes’ mother says she can’t picture her son entering the water “because he doesn’t know how to swim.”
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office is to conduct an autopsy today (August 4th).
