According to an online publication, two cities in our area are among the best places to live in the entire country.
Livability.com has released a list of Top 100 Best Places to Live in the U.S. each year for the last nine years, and for the last two, Madison has topped that list.
In this year’s list, Appleton was ranked number 39, while Green Bay came in at number 74.
The list notes that Appleton is the “cultural heart of the Fox Cities region, while Green Bay not only houses the Packers but also has many “long-standing community traditions.”
Other Wisconsin cities to make the list were Waukesha, which came in at number 12, Eau Claire at number 78, and La Crosse which was ranked 89th.
Missy Hughes, secretary, and CEO of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation reacted to Wisconsin making a good showing on the list by saying, “Wisconsin has been making smart investments in our communities… These investments are paying off.”
