An Ashwaubenon man is facing charges for his role in a handyman fraud scheme.
55-year-old Tony Ronald Cline is facing a charge of Theft by False Representation and has been released on a $500 bond.
According to police reports, Cline had taken ads out in the newspaper, where he would offer handyman services under the name A-Z Handyman Services.
An elderly couple called Cline and paid him over $2,100 to remodel their bathroom.
They say he removed the flooring and would come back each day to ask for more money, citing material and labor costs.
However, Cline never completed any more work and even blocked their phone number.
Police were able to get Cline by texting him and posing as a client looking to have their kitchen floor redone.
When they met up with Cline, he was promptly arrested.
If anyone else has been victimized by Cline, you are encouraged to contact Ashwaubenon Public Safety at 920-593-4474.
