The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers lost again last night, this time to the Cedar Rapids Kernels 10-4.
Starting pitcher Russel Smith pitched well through 5 innings but allowed a par in the 6th, and three relievers couldn’t stop the bleeding, allowing 7 runs in the final three frames.
At the plate, Zavier Warren pelted a two-run home run in the 2nd inning, which gave the Ratters a 2-1 lead at the time, while Tristan Peters and Jackson Chourio hit home the other two Rattler runs.
The Rattlers will again be in front of a home crowd this afternoon as they look to end their 8-game losing streak.
The Rattlers and Kernels will begin play at Fox Cities Stadium at 12:10 p.m.
