A Green Bay man is facing charges after he allegedly punched a nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital.
31-year-old Timothy Bereta has been charged with Battery to Emergency Medical Care Provider and Disorderly Conduct.
Officers were sent to the hospital at around 8:45 p.m. on Friday (July 22nd) on a report of Bereta acting aggressively.
Police reports indicate that Bareta had punched a nurse in the face, and was hitting himself in the head as well.
It’s not clear what exactly Bareta was being treated for, or if any drugs or alcohol were involved.
He is the first person in our area to be charged under the newly created charge of Battery to Emergency Medical Care Providers, which was only made official in Wisconsin back in March.
