Monkeypox has made its way to eastern Wisconsin.
Three cases of the disease were confirmed in Appleton, and another two potential cases are being investigated.
The first case was confirmed on July 21st, with the second coming the next day.
The third case was confirmed yesterday.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Monkeypox symptoms include fever, headache, muscle aches and pains, swollen lymph nodes, chills, exhaustion, and a rash that can look like pimples or blisters that appears on the face, inside the mouth, and on other parts of the body.
If you exhibit these symptoms, the CDC encourages you to talk to your healthcare provider, even if you don’t think you had contact with someone who has monkeypox.
