All but two of the seven counties in eastern Wisconsin have an average fuel price below $4.00.
According to the AAA Gas Prices website, Manitowoc County reported a 10-cent drop in gas prices down to $3.97, however that was the smallest drop from last week’s numbers.
Sheboygan County saw a 24-cent fall to $4.08, still leaving them with the most expensive fuel, while Calumet and Kewaunee Counties reported the biggest drops. Each county’s fuel is 33 cents cheaper, now sitting at $3.87 and $3.96 per gallon respectively.
Outagamie County motorists are paying 19 cents less per gallon this week, now averaging $3.83, Brown County fuel is 20 cents cheaper at $3.88, and Door County reported a 28-cent drop to $4.03.
The state average is getting ever closer to the $4.00 mark following a 21-cent fall to $4.02, and the national average is at $4.32, which is 17 cents less than this time last week.
When compared to this time last year, the average price in the seven-county area we cover is 97 cents more expensive this year, with an average of $3.95, compared to $2.97 last year.
