It was not a good weekend for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, as they were swept at home against the sub .500 Beloit Sky Carp.
The Sky Carp won 10-9 on Friday, and after a rain postponement on Saturday, won both of the Sunday doubleheader matchups, 1-0 and 5-2.
The losses dropped the Rattlers to 5 games out of first in the second half of the season, and six and a half behind in the overall standings.
It won’t get much easier for the Appleton-based ballclub this week as they will be taking on the top-seeded Cedar Rapids Kernels in a six-game series.
The first game is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday (July 26th) at Fox Cities Stadium in what is being billed as Girls Night Out.
