A Green Bay family is mourning the loss of one of their pets, and their home today following a weekend house fire.
The fire on Farlin Avenue was reported to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department at around 9:00 Saturday evening (July 23rd).
Smoke and flames were seen emitting from second story, and crews quickly began attacking the blaze from the rear of the home.
Some members of the family were still trapped inside, but they were evacuated safely.
The fire was brought under control in around 30 minutes, but one of the family pets perished.
Two adults were treated on the scene for smoke inhalation while four others were evacuated without injury.
A cause and damage dollar estimate have not been released.
