A warehouse in Green Bay caught fire over the weekend.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department was informed of the fire at Convergen Energy, located in the 600 block of Liberty Street, at around 4:00 p.m. Sunday (July 24th).
All of the workers had been evacuated by the time fire crews arrived.
The Fire Department was able to quickly enter the smoke-filled building thanks to the fully operational sprinkler system, but it took two hours to get the paper and plastics-filled warehouse fire under control.
It was determined that the fire was started by a spark that came from a grinder, and that it caused an estimated $5,000 in damage.
