It was a much-needed rest for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, but now it’s time to lace up the cleats and apply the eye black.
The Rattlers return to action this evening (July 22nd) after taking four days off as they prepare to take on the Beloit Sky Carp.
The Rattlers are currently 6.5 games out of first place in the Midwest League’s West Division after going 4-8 over their last 12 games. Beloit meanwhile has definitely struggled this year.
They have also only won four times in their last 12 games, but they were swept last week by the Division Leading Cedar Rapids Kernels.
The Rattlers’ budding pitching star, Israel Puello is slated to get the start.
He was called up to the Brewers High A Affiliate earlier this year and while his record may not show it, Puello has been lights out.
He has allowed three total runs while striking out 16 batters in 19 innings of work and accumulating a record of 1-1.
Tonight’s game at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton is scheduled to begin at 6:40 p.m.
