A Manitowoc man was arrested for his 4th OWI last night (July 20th).
An officer with the Manitowoc Police Department was on patrol at around 10:15 p.m. when he saw a vehicle driving south on South 10th Street without its headlights on.
The vehicle was pulled over in the 1100 block of South 10th Street, and the officer approached the driver’s side window.
The 58-year-old man provided an ID and admitted to drinking at Exotica’s earlier in the evening.
He told the officer he lived on Reed Avenue, so the officer asked why he was going the wrong way.
The man said he did not know.
The officer noted the man speaking slow and slurred.
Backup was called, and the man underwent a field sobriety test, which he failed.
A breathalyzer test reported a blood alcohol percentage of .205.
The man was charged with OWI, his 4th offense.
