A man who had been eluding Brown County law enforcement since early June is now in police custody.
Christopher Charles Jackson was initially charged with four counts of 1st Degree Sexual Assault with Use of a Dangerous Weapon back on June 1st, but he was not located until Tuesday (July 19th).
It is being reported that Jackson used a handgun during his crime, leading law enforcement to label him as armed and dangerous.
Jackson’s attorney called authorities on July 11th to schedule what is called a Return on Warrant hearing but was told that Jackson needed to turn himself in.
It appears that is what happened, as he was booked into the Brown County Jail on Tuesday.
He is now also facing charges of Possession of a Firearm After Being Convicted of a Felony, False Imprisonment, Aggravated Battery, and Battery.
