Beer lovers from all over will converge in Manitowoc this weekend for the annual Malt City Brewfest.
Briess Malt and Ingredients Company is running the event, which will feature breweries from all over Wisconsin, and of course here locally.
One group that is especially excited would be the trio that operates Craft Creek Brewing in Manitowoc.
Andrew Hogan told Seehafer News that he and Brittney Hogan, along with Brittney’s brother Mike Rudebeck will definitely be there.
“That will be our first go at it. We are very excited about it,” he said. “Kinda open that door to learn and know what to do at the next one and try to get around Wisconsin where we can to promote ourselves.”
Since they have only been brewing beer since 2019 and opened up at their current location on North 9th Street earlier this year, Andrew admits they have a lot to learn.
He said that “a lot of it will be absorbing how it’s handled, and really just talking to people, and having a good time.”
The gates open this weekend in the Farmers Market Parking lot at 2:00 p.m. with musical guests The Honeygoats slatted to perform.
There will also be numerous food trucks on-site, and of course, a ton of beer.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at Eventbrite.com.
