A federal judge has dismissed a woman’s lawsuit against the University of Wisconsin System over its reinstatement of Badgers football player Quintez Cephus two years.
The woman’s name hasn’t been released.
She accused Cephus of sexual assault in 2018.
A UW-Madison investigation found that the player likely did assault the woman and he was expelled.
A jury went the other direction and acquitted him on the criminal charges.
U.S. District Judge William Conley ruled Tuesday her attorneys didn’t provide enough evidence that laws were broken when he was reinstated.
Her attorney says an appeal is likely.
