The Manitowoc Bandits rode a strong offensive performance last night to a 20-to-8 Shoreland League road victory over the Algoma Guins.
Manager Chris Cisler’s squad scored in every inning, except the 4th to improve their league record to 8-1.
Earl Vorpagel paced the offense by going 5-7 with a double and an RBI, while Ben Coons and Chris Casper each went 3-7 and combined for 6-RBI in the rout.
Brandon Black was 3-5 with a double and RBI in support of winning pitcher Carter Stebane, who worked 7 solid innings and struck out 5.
The Bandits have a big game tonight when they travel to Denmark to face the 6-2 Devilbears in a contest to determine the Shoreland League’s #1 seed for next week’s playoffs.
