Bucks reserve guard Pat Connaughton helped his team by taking his player option for the upcoming season – now, the team is paying him back.
By agreeing to the $5.7 million option for the coming season he helped the Bucks deal with the NBA luxury tax.
Monday, the team announced it had signed Connaughton to a three-year extension worth $28.5 million.
The 6′ 5″ guard is coming off his best pro season that saw him average 9.9 points a game and hit almost 40 percent of his 3-pointers.
He has seven years of NBA experience, the last four in Milwaukee.
