College football analysts were paying attention as Badgers running back Braelon Allen pounded defenses for 1,268 yards and a dozen touchdowns last season.
Allen was named Monday to the Maxwell Award Watch List.
That honor goes each season to the College Football Player of the Year.
This will be the 86th year someone will be chosen as the best.
The 238-pound Allen ran for more than 100 yards in eight of Wisconsin’s last nine games.
An impressive statistic is the 829 yards he gained after first contact by a defender.
