Plans to close Interstate 41 in Milwaukee starting today (Friday) have been delayed by a threatening weather forecast.
The stretch of highway was going to be closed for 54 hours this weekend.
That work will be rescheduled for one of the next two weekends.
A Wisconsin Department of Transportation spokesperson says it was worried about lightning strikes as a safety concern.
The work was to be part of the Zoo Interchange North Leg project.
