Businesses all over are struggling to find people to work for them, and Police Departments are no different.
In fact, some departments have had this issue for several years.
The Appleton Police Department is looking to fix its employee problem by offering a signing bonus for new officers.
Officers who make the lateral move to the APD will get a $5,000 signing bonus, but they are also looking to fill their civilian roles.
While the signing bonus is for current law enforcement officials making a lateral move into the department, those with no experience are also encouraged to apply.
The Manitowoc Police Department is also looking for people to join their ranks.
The role would pay between $4,700 and nearly $5,900 per month.
