Music lovers will be congregating at Washington Park in Manitowoc this weekend for Acoustic Fest.
The event was created in 1996 by Dan Hildebrand, Pete Honzik, and Dennis Krall with support from Rogers Street Fishing Village Museum.
The event is not only a great opportunity to listen to some amazing bands, but the organizers give back to the Manitowoc community every year.
Since 1996, the group has donated over $6,000 to the Parks and Recreation Department, the Public Library Fund, and the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Manitowoc County, and nearly $20,000 in scholarships.
Music begins at 11:00 Saturday morning (July 16th), with headliner DeadHorses taking to the stage at 7:30 p.m.
Also of note, Janet Planet will rock out starting at 2:00 p.m.
