A Green Bay woman will be standing trial for the death of her child.
22-year-old Tyana Putzlocker and 23-year-old Derrick Young have each been charged with Child Neglect Causing Death after their child died with fentanyl in his system.
The boy had reportedly been removed from the couple’s custody due to neglect concerns and he was ordered to be placed with Young’s mother.
She had dropped the child off with the parents which is a violation of the terms of the placement.
As of now, she has not been charged.

As for how the drugs got into the child’s system, Putzlocker told police that her son could have found them while she was doing laundry earlier in the day.
Young admitted to being addicted to the drug and told police that he had pills in the home. He believes that the child got his hands on his pills.
Putzlocker will be back in court for an arraignment on September 1st, while Young is in court for his preliminary hearing on Monday (July 18th).
