Election officials and Wisconsin voters will soon find out about the use of absentee ballot drop boxes and who is allowed to deliver those ballots to the clerk’s office.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court heard arguments earlier this year on a case from Waukesha County.
It will release its decision today (July 8th).
The drop boxes were used during the height of the pandemic when a COVID-19 vaccine wasn’t available yet.
Supporters of former President Donald Trump have called the drop boxes “illegal” and they call letting other people carry the ballots to the polling locations “ballot harvesting.”
