An Iowa County jury has found a 22-year-old man guilty of killing his mother and dog last year.
Sean Pickett had told investigators he was possessed and had heard “evil noises.”
It took the jury less than two hours to find him guilty of one count of first-degree intentional homicide and one count of mistreatment of animals causing death.
Pickett is scheduled to return to court on September 20th for sentencing.
That’s when the judge will decide whether he will be eligible for parole.
