
A Green Bay man believed to be the ringleader of a large-scale drug ring will be spending some time in federal prison.
Ruben Ortiz was sentenced to spend 8 years and 9 months in the prison located in Oxford Wisconsin.
Ortiz was arrested in 2019 after law enforcement executed arrest and search warrants which uncovered one kilogram of heroin, five kilograms of cocaine, 28 grams of crack cocaine, 400 grams of fentanyl, 50 grams of meth, and some marijuana.
They also seized several handguns, rifles, and shotguns.
Ortiz was convicted on charges of Conspiracy to Distribute Crack Cocaine, Fentanyl, Meth, and Marijuana, and upon his release will spend eight years on extended supervision.
