The Mishicot Police Department has arrested a man who was involved in a standoff yesterday (July 6th).
The incident began at around 2:20 p.m. when officers were called to a home in the 400 block of East Main Street.
The responding officers attempted to make contact with the yet unidentified 25-year-old man, but he reportedly barricaded himself in the home.
He then went to the roof while claiming to be in possession of a gun.
He told police that they would have to shoot him to get him down according to police reports.
After an hour of negotiations, the man surrendered and was taken into custody.
Officers say they did not find any weapons.
The man was taken to the Manitowoc County Jail, and the incident remains under investigation.
