A suspect remains in custody on charges of sexual assault of a child.
17-year-old William Allen Berlin Jr from Manitowoc appeared in Manitowoc County Court yesterday (July 6th) and had bail set at $5,000, with conditions that he have no contact with the victim or her family and no contact with anyone under 18.
Bail has not been furnished at last word.
The assault is alleged to have occurred on July 3rd when Berlin was sitting next to the female victim on a couch and began some inappropriate touching, then exposed himself to her.
Berlin is charged with 1st Degree Sexual Assault of a Child and Engaging in Repeated Acts of Sexual Assault of the Same Child.
