The Bucks have signed reserve guard Jevon Carter to a two-year, $4.6 million contract.
The deal is called a bit of a surprise because Milwaukee had very little financial flexibility after bringing on Joe Ingles.
Carter averaged 5.6 points and 2.5 assists a game in 20 contests last season.
The 6’ 1” guard could emerge as the Bucks’ second-string point guard.
He showed that much potential last season after coming over from Brooklyn.
Meanwhile, the Bucks’ top draft pick MarJon Beauchamp will head the Milwaukee Bucks roster for the NBA Summer League.
The first of five games is scheduled for Friday against the Brooklyn Nets with a tip-off at 6:00 p.m.
Beauchamp will be joined by Sandro Mamukelashvili, Rayjon Tucker, Luca Vildoza, Lindell Wigginton, AJ Green, and Hugo Besson.
Most of the games will be played at the Thomas & Mack Center on the UNLV campus in Las Vegas.
Bucks assistant Vin Baker will be the head coach for the Summer League team.
