For many, a three-day weekend is nearly here, and there will be a ton of things to do in the area.
Starting in Two Rivers on Saturday, 8 Second Ride will take to the stage located on Neshotah Beach.
Then on Monday July 4th, there will be plenty of things to do at Walsh Field.
Two Rivers City Manager Greg Buckley told Seehafer News, “Family activities start at 5:00 p.m., the formal festivities start at 7:20 with a flag-raising ceremony, the Two Rivers Community Band takes to the stage from 7:30 to 8:30. Starting at 8:50, as the sun starts to sink in the west, we have a patriotic singalong led by the Clipper City Chordsmen, and that leads us up to the fireworks at 9:30 p.m.”
Meanwhile, in Manitowoc, Fourth on the Shore will be a massive two-day event, starting on Sunday.
Mayor Justin Nickels told us about everything happening on July 3rd with “The Glam Band and Vic Ferrari in the Briess parking lot. Lots of food vendors and drinks and just a great time.”
Then on Monday, the day will start with a parade at 10:00 a.m.
That will go from Courthouse to the Yacht Club on Maritime Drive.
Then, bands, drinks, and food will be available all along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
“We are celebrating our Fourth on the Shore annual festival, and also SubFest, and also the Salmon Derby,” Nickles said. “A lot is going to be happening on the lakeshore. You can walk from downtown at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum all the way to the Yacht Club and get a lot in between.”
And of course, there will be a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m.
Those will again be shot off from the south pier near downtown Manitowoc.
