Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado’s two-run homer in the top of the sixth gave St. Louis a 5-4 victory at American Family Field Wednesday night.
The loss drops the Brewers into second place in the National League Central Division with one game left in the four-game series.
Starter Eric Lauer took the loss.
St. Louis also got a two-run home run from Paul Goldschmidt and Rowdy Tellez and Andrew McCutchen had solo shots for Milwaukee.
