Rookie second baseman Nolan Gorman swatted a pair of home runs and drove in four runs while going four-for-four in the Cardinals’ 6-2 win over the Brewers Tuesday night.
Four rookies were in the St. Louis batting order and rookie lefty Zach Thompson got the win.
Willy Adames ripped his 14th home run in the first inning.
Starting pitchers Jack Flaherty and Chi Chi Gonzalez were knocked around, but four Cardinals relievers shut out Milwaukee on a hit and a walk over the last six innings.
