The Sheboygan County Board of Supervisors is looking to potentially address several areas of need.
The County received $22.4 million from the American Rescue Plan Act and has spent $7 million.
Now, the Board will discuss spending another $11 million.
Under the proposals, $2 million would go toward the expansion of broadband internet, $1.5 million would go to introducing neighborhood social workers and police co-responders, and another $2 million would go toward expanding childcare options in the county.
Additionally, $2.5 million would be slotted for affordable housing, half a million would be for studying and providing transportation, and the remaining $2 million would be for the development of the County’s workforce.
The Board will gather at 6:00 this evening in the County Courthouse, located at 615 North Sixth Street.
