A Manitowoc man has been arrested for sexually assaulting a child.
The investigation into the 38-year-old man began on June 18th when they spoke with the victim.
The victim described two separate occasions where the man made sexual contact with them, and that he had shown the child a sexually explicit video on his phone.
He was detained later that day but refused to speak with authorities without a lawyer present.
As the investigation continued, the detectives learned that there were at least three different occasions where he assaulted the young child.
The man has a history of sexual contact with children, as he was arrested in 2009 for sexually assaulting a child under 13 and has numerous cases of bail jumping stretching from 2004 to 2019.
In the police report, it is also noted that the suspect shows a pattern of “quickly” victimizing children.
He has been charged with three counts of 1st Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, two counts of Exposing Genitals, and one count each of Repeated Acts of Sexual Assault of a Child and Exposing a Child to Harmful Material.
