The Green Bay Area Public School District is facing some significant monetary issues.
The District Officials recently reviewed their budget and have projected a $36 million deficit in three years.
It is being reported that the expenses for next year will be around $297 million, with a projected revenue of only $279 million.
The District said they plan on making up the $18 million difference with ESSER funds and will cover a $32 million shortfall in the 2023 through 2024 school year with ESSER funds.
However, the district will have to figure out a different way to cover a projected $36 million deficit for the next school year as the ESSER funds will not be available.
